Preston & St Johnstone take the spoils

Another IFA League season drew to a close last weekend, as Preston were crowned British League Champions for a record 6th time. St Johnstone came in as runners-up and also claimed the Scottish League crown for the first time, with Livingston GS in second place. Preston added the English League title, finishing 9 points ahead of Stevenage. More importantly, Preston & St Johnstone take the spoils

IFA Cup final moves to Scotland

The IFA committee has today agreed that the IFA Challenge Cup Final match between St Johnstone and Stirling Albion will be played at a neutral venue in Scotland, to be confirmed in due course by both teams. The two teams will pay all appropriate costs relating to the final. This will be the first time IFA Cup final moves to Scotland

Worldnet 2017 – Payment now open

Payment is now open for the Worldnet 2017 main draw and Vets tournaments, which will take place in Nottingham in July. Early-bird entry prices are £250 per team if a £50 deposit is paid before the end of February, with the balance required by the end of March. Any entries after that date will be Worldnet 2017 – Payment now open

Worldnet’s coming home

The IFA are pleased to announce that Worldnet is coming home. The 2017 event will return to Nottingham, home to the first ever Worldnet tournament in 1996. It is also great news that the Big Tam Vets Tournament has been re-united with the main tournament for the first time since 2012 and both events will take place at Worldnet’s coming home

WorldNET feedback survey now on-line

WITH memories of last weekend’s WorldNET still fresh, the organising committee are currently seeking feedback which will be vital in making plans for the 2017 edition of the IFA’s flagship event. Discussions around the possibility of moving venue, re-linking the open age and vets tournaments and accommodation are all taking place. WorldNET wins for Preston and Bury A

Another memorable WorldNET tournament drew to a close on Sunday, with Preston taking the spoils for the second season in a row after an eventful 4-2 win against Runcorn Linnets in Sunday’s final. Bury A beat Darlington 2-1 with a golden goal in extra time. Congratulations to all winners and thanks to all teams who WorldNET wins for Preston and Bury A
